At Steinhafels, Inc. (“Steinhafels” or “we,” “us” or “our”), we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how we collect, use, protect and share your Personal Information including when you visit our website at steinhafels.com (the “Site”) or visit our showrooms.

Updates: We will update this Policy from time to time, so please check back for updates. If we update the Policy, we will notify you by prominently displaying a banner at the top of the Policy that we have made changes, we will place a banner on the home page of our Site or we will notify you by another method such as email.

  1. WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION?

For purposes of this Policy, “Personal Information” means information which alone or in combination can be used to identify or locate a natural person or a household. Personal Information does not include information that is publicly available through government records or information that has been deidentified or aggregated in a way that it cannot be used to identify a specific individual.

Social Media Sites

We are active on social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Houzz, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn (“Social Media”). The Site allows you to connect and share data with Social Media platforms. Anything you post on Social Media is public information and not confidential. 

These features may require us to use cookies, plug-ins, and APIs provided by such Social Media platforms to facilitate those communications and features. Your use of Social Media is governed by the privacy policies and terms of the providers that own and operate those Social Media sites and not by this Policy. We encourage you to review those policies and terms.

We may post (or re-post) on the Site and our Social Media pages any comments or content that you post on our Social Media pages.

  1. WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We may share your Personal Information with service providers and other third parties in certain situations. We may share Personal Information with the following categories of third parties:

Service Providers. We may share Personal Information with service providers for order fulfillment, marketing, data hosting, payment processing, product delivery, IT support services and fraud protection and prevention. We require these Service Providers to exercise reasonable care to protect your Personal Information in writing.

Your Agents. We may share Personal Information in connection with your use of interior decorators or others who are assisting you with furnishing your home, with your prior consent.

Third Parties: Marketing Partners. We may share Personal Information to facilitate the delivery of targeted ads, promotions and offers to you, on our behalf, on and off the Site.

Parties to Business Transactions. In the event of an anticipated or actual merger or acquisition, bankruptcy or other sale of all or a portion of our assets, we may transfer or allow third parties to use information owned or controlled by us, including Personal Information. Opt-out of Emails and Text Messages.  E-mails.  As a customer, you may receive e-mail communications about new products or special offers we think you would be interesting to you and requests for feedback. You may opt-out of receiving future marketing and promotional communications from us any time by clicking on the link at the bottom of emails you receive from us. We will process change requests promptly, though this process may take several days. During that processing period, you may receive additional marketing and other promotional emails from us. 

Please note, opting out of these communications will only apply to marketing and other promotional emails and will not apply to any email or other communications we send to you for non-marketing purposes, including emails regarding your purchases and deliveries.

We are committed to protecting the security of your Personal Information. We use commercially reasonable safeguards to maintain the security and privacy of Personal Information we collect and use. When disclosing Personal Information, you should remain mindful that there is an inherent risk in the transmission of Personal Information via the internet.

The Site may link to, or be linked to, websites not owned or controlled by us. This Policy does not apply to any third-party websites or to any data that you provide to third parties. We are not responsible for third parties’ privacy policies or practices. You should read the privacy policy for each website that you visit.

  1. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

We do not direct or target any of our products or services to children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected the Personal Information of anyone under the age of 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete this information. If you are a parent or guardian of someone under the age of 13 and discover that your child has submitted Personal Information to us, please contact us at privacy@steinhafels.com We will make reasonable efforts to remove such information from our databases.

  1. YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS. 

This Section provides additional terms that apply to residents of California. In the event of a conflict between this Section and the remainder of this Policy, this Section shall take precedence for California residents. In this Section only, any capitalized terms not defined in this Policy have the meanings set forth in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (the “CCPA”).

  • Categories of Personal Information We Have Collected. During the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of Personal Information: Identifiers, Customer Records, Commercial Information, Internet Activity, Geolocation Information, Sensory Information, Employment Information and Education Information.

  • Categories Of Personal Information Disclosed for A Business Purpose. During the past 12 months, we have disclosed the following categories of Personal Information for a Business Purpose: Identifiers, Customer Records, Commercial Information, Internet Activity, Geolocation Information, Sensory Information, Employment Information and Educational Information to the Sources described in this Policy.

  • Sharing Personal Information. During the past 12 months we have not Sold your Personal Information to a third party for monetary compensation. We have Shared Personal Information with third parties for the purposes of serving targeted advertising and to perform data analytics.

  • We Do Not Use or Disclose Sensitive Information. We do not use or disclose sensitive information, as defined in the CCPA.

YOUR RIGHTS TO REQUEST AND KNOW, YOUR RIGHT TO REQUEST DELETION, YOUR RIGHT TO CORRECT, YOUR RIGHT TO OPT-OUT AND YOUR RIGHT TO NON-DISCRIMINATION

Right to Request and Know. You have a right to request that we disclose any of the following types of information for interactions which occurred in the 12-month period prior to the date of your request: (a) the categories of Personal Information we collected from you, (b) the categories of sources from which the Personal Information was collected, (c) the business or commercial purpose for collecting your Personal Information, (d) the categories of third parties with whom we shared your Personal Information, (e) the specific pieces of Personal Information we collected from you (i.e., “data portability”), and (f) a list of categories of Personal Information we disclosed for a Business Purpose in the last 12 months.

  2. Right to Request Deletion. You have a right to request that we delete Personal Information we collected from you by submitting a verifiable request following the instructions below. We will comply with such request, and direct our service providers to do the same, subject to certain exceptions permitted by applicable law.

  3. Right to Correct. You have the right to correct inaccurate Personal Information that we maintain in our records.

  4. Right to Non-Discrimination. You have the right to non-discrimination for the exercise of your consumer Privacy Rights under the CCPA. 

HOW TO EXERCISE YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS.

  1. How to Exercise Your Rights to Know, Correct, and Request Deletion: To exercise your rights to know, correct, and request deletion described in this Policy, you may submit your request to us by contacting us at any of the following:

Phone. You can call us at 262-436-4600. Once you call, you will speak with a customer service representative who can review your call.

Email. You can also email us at  privacy@steinhafels.com.

Once we receive your email, we will acknowledge your request and start processing your CCPA request. 

  1. Verifiable Consumer Request. In order to verify your request to know, to correct, or your request to delete, you must provide sufficient information that allows us to verify you are the person about whom we collected Personal Information and you must describe your request with sufficient detail to allow us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it. You must provide your first and last name, your home address, and the linked email account(s) to Steinhafels.com. Please note however, that we may request additional information as necessary to confirm your identity.

  2. Who May Exercise Your Rights? You may only make a request to exercise your rights on behalf of yourself. A parent or legal guardian may make a request on behalf of their child. You can also make a request using an authorized agent on your behalf. See the section titled “Authorized Agents” below for more information. 

  3. When We Will Respond. We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days of receipt. We will try to respond to your request within 45 days of the date of receipt of the request. If we cannot verify your request within that 45-day time period, we may deny your request. If we require additional time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period prior to the original 45- day response period. Any disclosures we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding our receipt of your request. We may charge a fee to process or respond to your request if it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded.

  4. Authorized Agents. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf to exercise your rights under the CCPA by doing the following: (1) provide the authorized agent written permission to do so; and (2) verify your own identity (per the process stated above), as well as the identity of the authorized agent directly. We may deny a request from an authorized agent if we do not have proof that they are authorized by you to act on your behalf.
